Blogging…something I just can’t seem to stay on top of, but I’m hoping as our busy season starts up that I can start to keep at least a steady pace.
I would say that music is every bit as important to my outlook on photography as anything else. We’ve got a playlist going in the studio, a playlist going while I’m editing, and just about anytime in between. Music just tends to speak to that creative hole that we’re trying to fill. It’s a perfect additive…it is that extra pinch of salt that makes the recipe perfect.
So on Mondays I’m going to post a 10 song playlist to let you see into my mind at the time. To say my tastes are a bit eclectic is an understatement. You might find Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, EDM, Motown, and occasionally even some country. If possible I’ll try to keep the explicit lyrics to a minimum, but sometimes there’s not clean version available…so I’ll apologize in advance for that.
So what’s in my head right now? This rain. I’ve got nothing against a good warm summer rain, but at some point I’d like to get outside and start using all this beautiful green backdrop that’s popping up everywhere.
So from “This Too Shall Pass”, the beautiful dreary cover from Grease, and a lot of more laid back and mellow for these rainy days. Of course there’s a little Percy Sledge in there after his passing…I mean, my momma raised me right. :)
