This weekend we were very happy to do a quick shoot for a couple on their way to prom. We started a bit later than we’d have liked and quickly ran out of light…i.e. didn’t have hardly any to start with. However, after looking through the results I’m pretty pleased. We definitely had to work fast to get any shots and my wife was a tremendous help setting up and keeping things moving.

This is probably my favorite shot of the night. I would LOVED to have had a bit more light and time to work with, but the treatment gives it a real elegant feel.
This shot turned out tremendous! It gives the exact effect I was looking for. What’s funny is during the shoot I missed a tweet tip (I hate my phone) from @ScottBourne that said:
Shooting up on men tends to make them look powerful – which is a look most men want in a portrait.
I couldn’t agree more. It was very rewarding to conceive that concept for myself during a shoot and then have it affirmed at nearly the same time.
